Sonatina is the quintessential modernist poem. It was the Nicaraguan poet Darío who initiated the literary movement known as Modernism, thereby contributing to the Spanish-American emancipation in cultural and intellectual terms from Spain.

A volume in 8vo format, album, of 80 pages typeset by hand in 12 point Caslon type, cast by the Caslon Foundry from the original 18th-century matrices, those derived from the original punches cut by William Caslon. This type has been in use for more than two centuries and it is one of the most ancient original type owned by the Tallone Press.

Limited and numbered print run of 50 copies on Sant’Ilario paper made in Pescia.

Moreover, 140 copies have been printed on Sicilian paper (no more available) and few copies on exotic papers (images and prices on request).

The volume is housed in a hand-made slipcase and box, custom made to an exact size, whose exteriors are covered with Ingres paper. The book title is letterpress-printed on the slipcase’s spine.
