A collaboration between poet Alfredo De Palchi and painter Fulvio Testa, this edition in 4to format consists of 90 numbered copies, each one illustrated with an original watercolor by Fulvio Testa sewn into the book.
The book is signed by the author, the artist and the printer.
Volume in the 4to format (37x23 cm) of 54 pages entirely typeset by hand in 16-point original Caslon type. This typeface, cast from original 18th-century mats, has been in use in our typographic studio since then.
This edition has been printed on the Phoenix V press (made at the beginning of the XX century by Skelter & Giesecke in Leipzig), the same used by Maurice Darantiere in Dijon for printing the first edition of James Joyce’s Ulysses printed in 1922.
The twelve poems, printed in Italian and in English, covers many decades of De Palchi's work, from the late 1940s to the 2010s in chronological order.
The paper chosen for this edition is a pure cotton 200 g. off-white Magnani paper, mould-made in Pescia (Tuscany).
The volume is housed in a hand-made slipcase and box, custom made to an exact size, whose exteriors are covered with Ingres paper.
The book title is letterpress-printed on the slipcase’s spine.
