188 numbered copies were printed, divided as follows:

.100 copies on pure cotton off-white Magnani paper made in Pescia, of which 40 copies include 13 original woodcuts by Mimmo Paladino; 

.62 copies on pure cotton cream-colored Magnani paper made in Pescia;

.10 copies on pure cotton white Magnani “Veronese" paper;

.9 copies on handmade Magnani “Corona” paper, which features a watermark showing a crown;

.5 copies on pure cotton Fabriano paper;

.2 copies Magnani “all’onda” paper, handmade by Silvio Vezzani with the purpose of replacing the endpapers of the ancient books damaged by the Arno flood in Florence in 1966. It features a unique watermark, which represents 4 waves (which reminds the date of November 4th), transfixed by an arrow which emerges from the waves, thus envisioning the recovery of Florence after the tragedy. It was hand-made immediately after the flood in the 15th-century "Le Carte" Papermill, in Pescia, Tuscany.

A volume in the 4to format (cm 21x34) of 104 pages entirely typeset by hand in 20-pt. Caslon type, One by one, each sort was arranged on the composing stick to form the words and the lines of text.
The steel punches of this precious and rare type were hand-cut by William Caslon in London in the first half of the 18th century. These types are part of the original equipment of Tallone’s typographic studio, which has been continuously in operation since the late 18th century.

The volume includes three introductory essays by Guido Ceronetti.

The slipcase and box are handmade in-house. On the outside, they are covered with Ingres paper. The book title is letterpress-printed on the slipcase’s spine.

Neither monotype nor linotype are used. These typesetting systems from a keyboard are often passed off as manual typography. 

The Tallone Press does not print from plastic relief plates either. Derived from digital compositions, they are very much in vogue to simulate the effect of type impression onto the paper.

The number of movable types handled for the manual typesetting of this book, makes it an exceptional endeavor in contemporary fine printing.
