Limited edition of 46 numbered copies typeset by hand in moveable types, letter by letter, and letterpress printed on cotton paper made in Sicily with the groundwater from the volcano Etna. 

Etching by Walter Valentini, signed and numbered, made expressly for this edition.

This edition printed in Latin is a tribute to the famous incunabulum printed by Aldus Manutius in 1495, which is considered to be the first modern book.
Bembo tells about his ascent to the top of the volcano Etna, during his stay in Sicily between 1492 and 1494, where he went to perfect his knowledge of Greek. This is one of the first description of the volcano ever made. The story is the background to a series of literary-scientific considerations and learned quotations from Latin and Greek classics.

Poems and proses by Guido Ceronetti, dedicated to the figure of the Messiah. They are followed by short texts on the same topic, selected and translated by Guido Ceronetti, which were written by Ionesco, Virgil, Eraclitus, Isaiah, Black Elk, Rimbaud, Bloy, Beckett, Joyce, Mansour, Kafka, Sibony, Lazzaretti, Pottier, Degeyter, Sider.

Italian edition of the Old Testament's “Ecclesiastes” (Hebrew: “Qoheleth”), traditionally attributed to King Solomon.

Many thoughts from it have become proverbial: "vanity of vanities, all is vanity"; "nothing new under the sun"; "the number of fools is infinite"; "everything has its time"; "all things obey to money"; etc.

This edition brings together, for the first time, poems and photographs by Giovanni Gastel.
The book includes three unpublished poems and three original photographs. Their common thread is the female figure – so crucial in shaping the author's life and career –, declined, in its plural archetypal meanings: Beauty, Angel and Demon.

A young, beautiful princess is longing for the prince of her dreams to come to her palace and put an end to her loneliness. Her longing for love is beautifully expressed in musical, rhythmic verses which evokes a chivalric and fairy-tale atmosphere. The happy ending of the poem depicts a charming prince on a winged horse heading straight to the palace, who is soon to “ignite her lips with one amorous kiss”.
